Privacy policy

This page explains what Safock collects through usebollard.com, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. Questions go to support@safock.com.

Who we are

Bollard is built and run by Safock. Safock decides how the information described here is used.

What we collect, and why

• Demo requests. Your name, email address and company, and, if you give them, your sector, number of sites and a message. The form also notes which page or free tool you came from, and shows you that before you send it. We use this to reply and to prepare the demo.
• Emailed tool results. When you ask a free tool to email you its result, we use your email address and company to send it, and the figures you entered to write it.
• Abuse protection. To stop the forms being used to send spam, we count requests per IP address and per email address for an hour, in the server's memory only.

The free tools

The calculators and document generators run in your browser. What you type is not uploaded unless you ask us to email you a result. Some tools save your work in your browser's local storage so it is there next time; clearing your browser data removes it.

Cookies and analytics

The site remembers a few things on your device that it needs to work: your display theme, your saved tool work, and which tool you last used, so the demo form can mention it. These are not used to track you.

We use Google Analytics to see which pages and tools are useful. It sets cookies. If you are in the UK, the EU or the EEA, or Switzerland, it only loads after you choose Accept; Reject is just as easy. Elsewhere it loads by default. Wherever you are, you can change your choice with Cookie settings at the bottom of any page, and a refusal stops it loading. Advertising features are switched off, and nothing is used for advertising.

Who else handles it

• Cloudflare hosts the site, protects it from attacks and measures page speed without cookies.
• Resend sends the emails for demo requests and tool results.
• Google provides Google Analytics.

We don't sell personal information or share it for advertising.

How long we keep it

We keep demo requests and the emails that follow for as long as we need them to reply and to handle any work that comes from them. You can ask us to delete them at any time.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or object to how we use it. Email support@safock.com. If you are in the UK or the EU and are unhappy with our answer, you can complain to your data protection authority, such as the Information Commissioner's Office in the UK.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. See also how we write our guides.
